More than 8,700 addons list WoW Forever as a supported version.[^1] Most of the biggest are long-running addons that added Forever to the versions they already cover, so their download counts include every version of WoW. ## Which addons players recommend

Spoken is the addon players bring up most. It voices quest dialogue, NPC chatter, zone lore and books, and fans say it makes the lore easy to take in while they play, though its voices are AI-made and that puts some players off. Its main addon went from 657,000 downloads on 5 November to about a million on 6 November, with separate voice packs for each faction.[^2][^3][^4][^5]

OpenMap comes up next. It replaces the world map with one seamless map you can zoom and pan, kept in the original art style, and had 511,000 downloads on 6 November.[^2][^4][^5]

Leatrix Plus, Baganator and AutoBiographer are the everyday picks. Leatrix Plus repairs, sells junk and speeds up looting, Baganator sorts your bags into categories and tracks items across characters, and AutoBiographer records your journey and marks units and items added in Forever.[^4][^5]

Players add two cautions. Auctionator only knows the prices it has seen, so run its full scan at the start of a session. Pawn's upgrade scores are estimates, so treat a small upgrade with care and raise its value for Stamina while you level.[^4]

Many players keep their list short to protect the feel of the game. Questie, DungeonJournal and What's Training? are the ones they flag for showing what you'd otherwise discover yourself.[^5]

## Does WoW Forever have a built-in damage meter?

Yes. WoW Forever's Advanced options include a Damage Meter and a Cooldown Manager, so you can see combat numbers without an addon.[^6]

## How do I install addons in WoW Forever?

The simplest way is an addon manager such as the CurseForge app, with your WoW Forever installation selected. By hand, download the addon's zip and unzip it into the `_forever_\Interface\AddOns` folder inside your World of Warcraft folder.[^5] Blizzard's add-on policy says addons must be free to use.[^7]
