Each game’s figure is the share of its player reviews that recommend it, counted in every language from players who bought it in the store where they reviewed it. We never use critic scores or press coverage.

A game needs 500 reviews to be ranked, so a handful of early reviews can’t carry it to the top. Expansions, remasters, collections and new editions sit outside the ranking, and so do games leaving early access, because their counts go back to their early-access days.

The lists cover every notable release in our release calendar, and each ranked game we cover links to its own page with what players praise and criticise.
