Olympus, Asmongold’s WoW Forever guild: what it is and how to join

Olympus is Asmongold's guild in World of Warcraft: Forever. It's a place to find dungeon groups, organise raids, share class knowledge and build the guild together.¹ Here's how it works, where it plays and how to get in before launch on 4 November.

Is Olympus Asmongold's guild?

Yes. Olympus is Asmongold's guild for WoW Forever, on the Alliance side, and it has Horde guilds too.¹ Asmongold posts its news himself.²

How big is Olympus?

Big enough that one guild can't hold it. A guild in WoW holds up to 1,000 members, so Olympus is a family of many Olympus guilds that play as one.¹ On 23 September 2026, during the beta, Asmongold posted that Olympus had more than 30 full guilds and over 30,000 members.² The addon members use to see every Olympus guild at once had been downloaded 85,855 times by 21 October.¹

The Olympus guilds

Most Olympus guilds are numbered, like Olympus II, and a few have a character of their own. Asmongold announced <OLYMPUS GAY> and <OLYMPUS XXL>, then <OLYMPUS KITCHEN> and <OLYMPUS LAUNDRY> the next day, calling Olympus "the most inclusive community on classic."² The Olympus addon counts any guild with Olympus in its name, misspellings like OLYMPVS and Olimpus included, and the Alliance's <OLYMPIAN> is part of the family too.¹

What server is Olympus on?

WoW Forever has no realms to pick from. You choose a ruleset instead: Normal, PvP, Roleplaying, or Hardcore after launch. Each ruleset works as its own large world, and players can group, run dungeons and raid with anyone on the same ruleset and faction.³ Olympus plays on the PvP ruleset as Alliance, with its Horde guilds on the same ruleset.¹ Horde and Alliance can't group together, so pick your faction to match the Olympus guild you want to join.³

How do I join Olympus?

• In the game. Install the Olympus Guild addon. Its Join Olympus screen finds Olympus members online, points you to the guilds with free slots, and sends one of them a ready-made request you can edit, such as "Hi! I'd love to join Olympus. Does Olympus II have room for one more?"¹
• On Discord. Asmongold's official Discord server (opens in a new tab), with 81,161 members on 21 October 2026, is where his community chats during streams and gets together for game nights and MMO raids.⁴

When can I play?

WoW Forever launches on 4 November 2026 at 3:00 p.m. Pacific, and a WoW subscription or Game Time includes it.⁵ Early name reservation, which comes with the upgrade editions, runs from 27 October to 3 November.^5,6 Character names have two parts in WoW Forever, like a first and last name, so there's more room for a good one.³
