Nautical	A South Korean ferry leaving a war zone at dawn.
Reactor U92	A South Korean reactor complex in meltdown.
Rooftops	The snowy rooftops of a New York hotel.
Sentry	A Russian military base in a whiteout.
Silkworm	A dense South Korean shopping district with a subway entrance.
Transit 213	An overgrown bus park in western India.
Shipment	A remaster, small, in a Russian harbor. Added 27 October.

Ground War, Gunfight and Kill Block

Wolves Stadium	Ground War, 32v32	Hajin’s center, around the stadium, with tunnels and rooftops.
Forest	Ground War, 32v32	A wooded hillside between the other two, with a guard tower and barracks.
Cafe	Gunfight, 2v2	A Paris courtyard with a fountain.
Library	Gunfight, 2v2	A tight, wood-paneled state library.
NYC	Gunfight, 2v2	Wintry downtown New York, with a stage in the middle.
Smuggler	Gunfight, 2v2	A rail yard of train cars and warehouses.
Kill Block	Gunfight, 3v3 and 10v10	A training facility that rebuilds itself between rounds, in more than 500 layouts.

New in Season 1

Season 1 starts at midnight Eastern on 6 November, 21:00 Pacific on 5 November.³

• At launch: Backstab, a new snowy war-torn town; Canyon, new and medium-sized, between rock walls and a river; and Shoot House, reimagined in North Korea.
• Mid-season: Ministry and Overflow, plus more maps Activision hasn’t named yet.³

The maps players like and dislike

Players are split on the map pool. Coal draws the most complaints, though some say it plays well in Domination. Nautical’s outside, where high ground watches over two lines of sight, is the other map players name most.^4,5

Sentry is the one even players who dislike the pool call interesting, with good flow, and Silkworm, Rooftops, Cachette, Lithium and Mumbai all have fans. Several players say the maps got better for them once they learned the layouts.^4,5
