WoW Forever professions: every one, and what each adds to a camp

In World of Warcraft: Forever you learn two of nine primary professions and all three secondary ones. What each profession adds to the new campsites, when you unlock it, and the Legacy Perks that help.

Learn a profession from a trainer in the world or in a major city. To drop one, open the Professions tab (K) and click the X beside it. Each profession goes from Apprentice to Journeyman, Expert and Artisan.1

The professions

What’s new: camps

Cooking’s fire becomes a Basic Campfire, a shared campsite that holds up to three camp features, one from each nearby player. Sit or craft at a campsite for a minute and you get the benefit of every feature there. Each one copies a class buff and doesn’t stack with it.1

You unlock a profession’s first camp items at skill 20, from starter zone quests or the profession trainer. Those for skill 140 and up drop in dungeons and raids.1

Other changes

  • Over 600 new recipes across the professions and level ranges, with advanced Blueprint recipes dropping from dungeon bosses.2
  • Food has been adjusted, and some of it gives a small experience bonus along with stats.2

Legacy Perks for professions

Crafting levels count toward the Legacy System, the new account-wide progression. Reaching 150 in a crafting profession is one way to unlock it, and each crafting profession earns a Legacy Point at 150, 225 and 300 skill.3 The Professions tree spends those points on perks such as Bountiful Harvest and Dedicated Study, and the Adventure tree’s Field Guide shortens the camp feature cooldown.3
