WoW Forever races and classes: every combination, and what’s new

World of Warcraft: Forever launches on 4 November 2026 at 23:00 UTC. Each race can only be some classes, so pick the class first and then a race that can be it.¹

Humans and Trolls have the most choice, seven classes each. Tauren have the least, four.¹

The six new combinations

• Horde: Orc Mage, Troll Warlock and Undead Paladin.
• Alliance: Human Hunter, Gnome Priest and Dwarf Shaman.

With Undead Paladins and Dwarf Shaman, both factions can play all nine classes.¹

The Skyborne

The Skyborne are the new race, and you choose their faction when you create the character. Horde Windshapers can be Shaman and Alliance High Order Skyborne can be Mages, and both can be Druids, Hunters, Rogues and Warriors, with their own druid forms. They start on Zephras Isle, a new zone for levels 1 to 12.²

Every race now has two active and two passive racial abilities. Dwarves’ Stoneform, for one, now cuts physical damage taken instead of adding armor.³

What changed for each class

Talents that gave other players a key buff, such as Divine Spirit, Blessing of Kings and Improved Mark of the Wild, are now baseline for their classes.³

Class	The main changes
Druid	Cat Form and Bear Form damage now matches the equipped weapon’s, and Shifting Power joins the Feral tree.
Hunter	Traps work in combat, pets scale with your gear, and Foxes are a new pet family.
Mage	Frostfire Bolt at level 40, and Comprehension, a minor tradeskill for reading scrolls that creatures drop.
Paladin	Holy Strike at level 6, Consecration for every Paladin at 20, Judgement keeps your Seal, and Lay on Hands every 20 minutes.
Priest	Divine Spirit is baseline at level 30, and Shadow Word: Death at 32.
Rogue	Poisons have more charges and work alongside temporary weapon enchants, Rogues can use one-handed axes, and Sap no longer breaks Stealth.
Shaman	Longer weapon imbues, faster and longer-lasting totems, and Totemic Recall and Totemic Projection.
Warlock	Damaging curses become Banes, Curse of Shadows is gone, and pets scale with your stats.
Warrior	Updated talents and abilities.
